TEACHER'S AND PARENTS'OPINION ON SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT AIMED AT PROTECTING CULTURAL VALUES

This research was made in Kastamonu 2012-2013 academic year in order to specify the opinions of teachers and parents about school environment aimed at protecting cultural values. 119 teachers working in primary school in central district of Kastamonu and 925 parents of primary school students were participated in the research. The research is in screening model. With the research in which "Personal Information Form" has been used to get demographic information of teachers and parents, data has been collected by a single factoral assessment instrument "Teachers' and Parents' Opinion Survey On School Environment Aimed At Protecting Cultural Values" created by the researcher. The data obtained was analysed by using SPSS program. Independent samples t-test and one-way analays of varriance (One-way ANOVA) was used in the analysis. According to results obtained in the research, it was seen that undergraduate licenses and vocational school graduate parents want more cultural values oriented schools than other educational level, in similar manner public employees occupational groups with in the occupatinal group of parents than the parents want cultural educational environment was observed. In addition, it was found that, younger teachers want more cultural values oriented learning environment, in a similar manner undergraduate licenses want more cultural values oriented learning environment than two years of education institute.
