This paper examines the train structure and its surroundings in Adapazarı district of Sakarya province. The history of the railways is included to understand the historical value of the station area. The Ottoman and Republic period structures are examined to examine the architectural value of the buildings in its region. Adapazarı is the center of the Sakarya city which is in the Marmara region. It was always one of the most important settlements in the Anatolian peninsula in terms of transportation since it is located between very important cities. In addition, there have been some research about cultural and structuring impact of railway transportation, which is one of the most important ways of transportation, on the town throughout time. This structuring has become one of the factors that build up the texture of the town. The development and changes of the region and the environment in which the station structure is in the historical process are documented. he old and new photographs of the region and the construction plan layouts of the current time were used to document the building. Then, the reports of the Directorate of Public Works and Settlement and the documents related to the projects about the region were used to carry on the research. Problems were tried to be identified and analyzed, and interpretations were made through these studies. The protection values of the region were discussed, and recommendations made.
