Abstract (EN)

In the Qur'an, Allah states that He offered the trust (amanah) to the heavens, the earth and the mountains, but they did not accept it with the excuse that they were afraid of failing to fullfill the responsibility, and man accepted the trust. The definition of the term trust (amanah) could be expressed as treating very carefully for the thing on the custody that the man was granted. Therefore, responsibility, which forms the basis of man's purpose of existence on earth, is an important motivation that directs one to shape his religious and worldly life. Consciousness of this responsibility, which contributes positively to one's life both in this world and in the hereafter, is one of the most important traits that ensures happiness in this world and the world hereafter. This ideal is only achievable by fullfilling the duties and the responsibilities in man's religious and social life with sincerity and honesty. Thus, by acting in line with a sense of responsibility, the person will contribute to the growth of virtuous individuals in the society. On the contrary, a person who does not have this awareness will follow his whims and ambitions and hence will harm the harmony of the society he lives in. In the time of the Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon him (pbuh), it became evident that both the belivers and the whole society suffer from some problems when some believers act without sense of responsibility. The fact that some people acted in a way that did not coincided with a true sense of responsibility in the Battle of Uhud and left their positions without permission had caused the martyrdom of dozens of muslims. Even the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) was injured and was in a very difficult situation. This event, which took place in the early periods of Islam, stands before us as an example that we may face great disasters when some people do not fulfill their responsibilities properly. Hence, it is of great importance for a person to act with a sense of responsibility and sincerity, both individually and socially. What Allah wants from His servants is to be accepted as the sole and absolute creator, asks them not to associate any partner with Him, to worship him sincerely, to fulfill their responsibilities and to prepare for the world hereafter. If a person sincerely fulfills his duties and resposibilities he can ideally become a servant of his Creator. Otherwise, he may face some difficulties in this world and may witness punishment in the next world. In our research, it is aimed to reveal the important effects of fulfilling responsibilities sincerely on being an ideal believer, leading a virtuous life and preparing for the world hereafter by considering the relationship between responsibilities and sincerity. As a conclusion drawn from the information obtained, the person should be sincere and honest in all his beliefs, words, actions and behaviors, and should stay away from pretentious and artificial behaviors. The basic criterion of serving to the Creator and being a morally ideal person is to be sincere. The definition of religion as "sincerity" confirms this reality. A person will be able to seize the opportunity to make his life more meaningful by acting sincerely and honestly towards his Creator, towards other beings and even towards his own soul.
