Abstract (EN)

In our thesis, the articles of Haksöz journal, published between 1991/April-2022/ April, about the historicity of the Qur'an and the reality of the Qur'anic tales are discussed. For this purpose, by examining the works written on historicism, we examined the meaning field of this subject. Afterwards, the evaluations and criticisms published in the journal are included. The issues of Haksöz journal, which is at the center of our study, related to the Qur'anic verses and their subjects were used. Considering the more than thirty years of the journal's adventure, the degree of difficulty of examining the entire Qur'anic works can be estimated. Although there are many Qur'an studies in the journal, we limited our subject to the historicist approach to the Qur'an, which is the subject of contemporary Qur'an interpretations, since it corresponds to current events. Our work consists of two parts. In the first part, the emergence and general characteristics of Islamic journalism and Haksöz journal, are mentioned. The method of understanding the Qur'an and the style of tafsir will be included. In the second part, the evaluation of historicity and related concepts, the historicity of Umar's practices, the historicity of the verses addressing the Prophet, the historicity of the slavery practice and the reality of the stories are exhibited in the context of Haksöz journal. In addition, the views of intellectuals who pioneered the birth of historicism in Turkey will be discussed in a critical way. The problems at the root of this approach and the criticisms of this approach will be discussed in the context of Haksöz journal.
