Abstract (EN)

The Quran shows the importance it gives to thinking by encouraging people to it. A person first makes sense of himself and life by thinking and reaches the right path. In order to invite his interlocutors to the belief of monotheism, it is requested in many verses to think about events and stories. At the same time, those who think are praised and it is emphasized that the rank of those who do not think will not be the same as those who think. The Quran uses many different words for this process. Although each of them expresses thinking in its short meaning, it is known that there are separate subtle distinctions. It is understood from these different words used that a multifaceted and critical thinking system is indicated. It is seen that the thinking system examined by psychology and the processes and concepts expressed in cognitive psychology are also indicated by the words used in thinking. When examining the words and verses, it is seen that the Quran is included in the thinking processes in the stages used while examining thinking in cognitive psychology. For this reason, our study was conducted by examining two different disciplines together. It is tried to reveal their common and different aspects. Keywords: Quran, Tafsir, Thinking, Psychology, Cognitive Psychology.
