Abstract (EN)

In the terrestrial ecosystem, in order to keep the existing organic carbon at different level under the different land uses are important for all living things. In the world, the more amount of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, the faster it takes place in global warming. Therefore, carbon values are very important under different land use on the earth. In this study, the changes in some organic carbon fractions were determined in the garden, field and pasture areas located in Boyalık,Yolkoru village of Doğanşehir district in Malatya Province under arid climatic conditions.Soil samples were taken from three different sampling points and depths (0-5, 5-15 and 15-30 cm) in each use. These samples were used for determining soil particle distribution, pH, lime content, soil bulk density, field capacity, total C, organic C, and microbial biomass C values As a result of this study, the soil texture class was determined as loam and clay loam.Soil pH was similar under the different land uses and ranged from 7.4 to 7.7.It has been determined that the lime content gradually increased from the surface to the depths in the garden and crop land, on the other hand,in the pasture lime content increased at the first 0-15 cm and decreased at 15- 30 cm.The lowest field capacity was 31.3 and the highest value was 36.3.The soil bulk density ranged from 1.07 to 1.40 g cm -3.There was no significant difference in terms of organic matter.Organic carbon and total carbon values gradually increased from the surface to the deeper depths. The 15-year change in land use has not yet made any significant difference in organic C.Microbial biomass C values were found significant. There was an increase from the surface to the deeper depths in the pasture, but there is an increase at 0-5 cm in the crop land and garden and decreaseat 15-30 cm depth.
