Abstract (EN)

In this study, the factors affecting the early internationalization of Born-Global Firms (BGF) are examined. The most important factor affecting the faster internationalization of such firms than the other is the factor of entrepreneurship. Also in this entrepreneurial factor there is a function called innovativeness. This function is of great importance for BGFs in terms of entrepreneurship orientation. In this context, in this thesis, the internationalization processes of enterprises, traditional approaches and emergence and establishment reasons of BGFs, various theoretical approaches related to BGFs and factors and reasons affecting the early internationalization process of BGFs were investigated. This study is expected to be one of the leading studies due to the lack of sufficient studies on this subject. In the analysis section of the study, 10 internationalization processes in Kütahya, İzmir and Manisa, which have an important place in exports, were selected and face-to-face interviews were conducted with the enterprises. The data obtained from interviews were conceptualized within the framework of the relevant literature and reached 38 themes and 65 sub-themes under 10 categories. The themes created were analyzed qualitatively with the MAXQDA program. In this study, it was revealed that the reasons for companies to participate in international activities differ. It is possible to group the answers given as a result of the field research into the driving factors of the country of origin and the attractive factors of the target country. While the geopolitical situation of the country of origin and the domestic market conditions put pressure on firms, it is seen that external factors play an attractive role.
