Özet (EN)
International economic institutions are the institutions that regulate and shape the global economy in frame of certain rules. The most important international economic institutions are, without doubt, IMF, WB and WTO.IMF and WB are formed in 1944 and while IMF undertook the role of suppliying short-term credit oppotunities to countries in balance of payment problems, WB, has given the countries credits for development after World War II. WTO, whose first step was taken in 1947 with the formation of GATT, has been the basic organisation regulating the global trade with the framework of certain rules. After World War II, there appeared some changes in the role and responsibilities of international economic organisations, in parallell with important economic events in the global economy. Globalisation, which came into being with the liberalisation in the financial markets, has been the primary reason causing the change of these roles and responsibilities. After this period on, international economic organisations has been questioned about their roles in the global economy and faced reactions in global dimensions in the world generally. The aim of this work is, to bring up the matter of change of roles and responsibilities of three international economic institutions, in accordance with the events taking place in global economy and to act as a mirror about what the new roles and responsibilities of the organisations are.
