International social dialogue applications and Turkiye within the globalization process

ABSTRACTThe social dialogue constitutes employer-employee cooperation atnational level, common consultation, triplet cooperation, social agreementand cooperation at national level. The parties of social dialogue differ fromcountry to country. The social dialogue in some countries demonstrates adouble structure appearing only in two parties consisting of the employer andemployee however it may appear in triple structure as employer, employeeand government in some others. On the other hand, it converts into a multidirectional structure by the participation of other civil social groups in somecountries.The globalization, which is one of the most important factors affectingthe world in the recent years, contains the factors implying to widespread anddevelop the various relations among the countries, solve polarization basedon the ideological differences, recognize different social cultures and towidespread the values that accumulated and went beyond the nationalborders in the world. In this study, the social dialogue and the development ofsocial dialogue are emphasized during the process of globalization.Particularly, the contribution of International Labor Organization, which isdeemed as the most important key point of the work life in the world, in thedevelopment of social dialogue is reviewed then the development of socialdialogue in the European Union and the sample applications of socialdialogue in the member companies are considered in scope of this study. As aresult of all such improvements occurred in the world especially in Europe,the place of social dialogue in Türkiye and the social dialogue institutions inTürkiye are discussed.The 3 sided characteristic in work life should adopt a constructiveapproach to solve the economical and social problems during theglobalization process. The fundamental objective of this approach is to createa general atmosphere creating perceptiveness and respectful platform beyondthe agreement on some specified matter in the agenda. In such scope, theimportance of social dialogue is exposed to strengthen the democracy andprotect the economical and social stability.
