The analysis of CHP in terms of the changing values during the globalization process

The process of globalization which raised its influence after the Cold War is a new fact. The most important effects of globalization are having various conflicting elements within it and affecting almost every field in the world. From this point, doubtlessly, globalization has also affected the long-term party in Turkey, CHP, and its traditional roots.In this thesis, the subject is about in which way CHP, one of the most effective party in Turkey, has been affected by the procedure of globalization and how the attitudes of the party have been developed. In this context, it is possible to explain the aim of the study via these research questions:a)During the process in accordance with globalization, which values have been changed? In comparison with the structures based upon the modernism period, what kind of new values have been put forward?b)How have these changes occurred globally affected the politics of Turkey and its fundamental roots? Has CHP, the earliest party of the Turkish political life, accommodated itself to new environments developed against its basic structures? Which reflexes have been provided against the globalization process by CHP?While searching for the answers to these questions, in addition to the literature review, the globalization process in Turkey has been defined in terms of the permanence of fundamental structures of CHP and it has been aimed to put forth the connection between CHP and the globalization in accordance with this aspect. On the other side, thus CHP is not the executive authority, the social-democrat identity of it and the demand and the performance of the social-democrat foundations in the world have been compared. In addition to these comparisons, the years between 2002 and 2009 have been the area of this study, and the necessary examples from CHP have been taken into account during this period.Within this frame, at the end of the study, it is comprehended that the politics of CHP has differed from that of other social- democrat foundations in the world. Additionally, it is observed that CHP has approached the process of globalization with caution. Correspondingly, CHP has faced ideological problems, because it has not oriented itself into the ideological forms changing during the process. From this aspect, it could be said that CHP has examined its traditional roots and the transformations via the example events, and it has developed an social-democrat approach to the subject.
