The effects of neoliberal politics on development in the process of globalization: Case of Turkey

Neoliberalizm is the whole of the politics consisting of arrangements which are appopriate to new capital accumulation. Since 1980, it reconstituted the content of many concept by reorganizing the economical and political operations worldwide and made the under-developed countries adopt this. The insight of development which is focused on industrialization and took into account apportionment gave its place to a insight of development that basically focuses on developments in macro-economic, while not paying attention on apportionment. Therefore, development started to be defined by some indicators like growth rate, unemployment, debt ratio, foreign trade and inflation.By the dominant decisiveness of international instutions, neoliberalism prevented the realization of development which is defined as ? the increase in the production capacity and production technology of the country, a more fair apportionment, better life conditions, equalization in the politics and a self-sufficient economy where justice is provided.? Furthermore, positive results in macro-economical indicators which are expexted by insight of neoliberal ?development? could not be provided. Affecting not only development but also macro-economic indicators, it deformed the economical and political structure of the country and made it more dependent to international institutions.
