Abstract (EN)
There is no doubt that one of the most common subjects of the day is globalization. Another important point coming with the concept ?globalization? is Nation-State and it?s existance. When we scrutinize the effects of globalization on Nation-State, it?s possible to express that globalization has different meanings both for neo- globalists who regard the world as a ? global village ? and for the people against globalizm who don?t regard the globalization as a new concept but a process created by developed countries to demolish nation-state. This thesis aims to study the concept ?globalization? with different approaches dimensions within it?s historical process. It also aims to study how much the Nation- State concept was effected or will be effected by the process. The research consists of four chapters. In addition to this, there are introduction and conclusion parts. In the first part, the definition of globalization , its approaches and dimensions are explained. In the second part, the ?nation? concept, nation-state and the historical process of the world?s social order between agricultural revolution and today are explained, so that the both the globalization and creation af the Nation-State would be understood better. Some international and regional organizations which affect the Nation-State in a positive or negative ways, are scrutinized in the third part. In the fourth part, the effects of globalization on Nation-State with some different areas are stated and the future of the Nation-State is focused. In conclusion part, an analysis is carried related with the future of the Nation-State and some important points and reccomendations are included.
