Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, the aim of all countries is to develop economically, keep up with the world and, to be able to maintain their situation. Globalization provides the world to be consist of nearly only one country by removing the borders among countries technologically, economically and socially. In the process of time, developing technology and competition brought about the interaction among the countries necessarily. Especially the improvement in the last years, lead the globalization to gain more importance. This study aims at investigating the effects of Globalization on employment in OECD member countries since the first years to the present day of globalization, especially in the last period. For this purpose, TUIK, OECD and ILO datas were examined, so the effect of globalization on workforce is put forward through the method of descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis are interpreted by comparison with previously conducted empirical studies in this area. Consequently, at the end of the study both positive and negative effects of globalization on the labor force in the specified countries have been observed. Keywords: Globalization, OECD, Employment
