Abstract (EN)
We come across characters that defined fiction or non-fiction and lead and generate this research as the images of brand strategies in 21st century in which make its place in advertisement market by being customer preferences and aiming to pursuade customers by way of fun. The characters accompanying the brand and chosen on behalf of convincing customers, and making the brand memorable have been discussed, and worthiness and sense of the characters with diverse attributes of creativity that we encounter specifically in printed advertisements have been examined. A settlement has been scrutinized involving the position of the characters used for a strong interaction language between the brand and the customer, their effect on this communication, representation of the product, its contribution to branding and if the intensions of the brand have been fulfilled etc. The evaluation data based on posters within a semiotic context such as "character-brand compliance", "character's recognition by customer", "brand's approach to the character", "brand's gainings coming from the character", "characters coming to life within advertisement", "selection of the character" etc, and twelve chosen characters in the thesis have been assesed with again semiotic analyzing method. In the light of these assesments, it has been acknowledged that it is a popular method of persuasion of which characters intending to leave an emotional trace on customers and the expression of characters within past and future phenomenons of target audience.
