Özet (EN)
This research metodologically realized in order to develop health belief scale related to lead exposure, analize validity and reliability. Within the study, at Ankara Occupational Diseases Hospital between the dates from 1 February to 30 April 2013, a total of 525 male workers was taken. The Participant Information Form and the Health Belief Scale Related to Lead Exposure (HBSRLE) were used to collect data. Data content validity were analized by the Lawshe technique from the experts of the subject, with construct validity by factor analysis, reliability by Cronbach's alpha coefficient, the two half-test reliability (Guttman and Spearman-Brown reliability coefficient) and Spearman correlation analysis. In the research; with the 6 expert opinion, under the scope of the generated 107-items scale,, 67 items calculated were out of scale based on the Content Validity Ratio lower than .99. Where structural validity, due to factor analysis, scale were found to be the result of the six factors. Reliability analysis, HBSRLE's Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient .94 and sub-dimensions ranged from .94 to .81, test the consistency of the two half-scale Spearman-Brown Coefficient .740 and Gutman Split-Half Coefficient .739 (p <.05) and Spearman's correlation analysis result item-total point correlations (Rho) was varied between .233 and .868. As a result of the validity and reliability analysis of 33 items, and six subdimensions and reliability of the scale was found to be valid for HBSRLE. Keywords: Scale development, validation, reliability, lead exposure, health belief model.
