Qurtubi's approach to Quranic sciences

Efforts of understanding and interpretation of Quran have begun with revelation of it to the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). Quranic Sciences are in help to understanding of Quran.Qurtubi, in his interpretation, explained the Quran very clear and open manner from beginning to end. In this study, view and way of Qurtubi to Quranic Sciences were handled and evaluated. The main objective of the study is to determine what extent Qurtubi gave place the Sciences of Quran and his opinions on this subject by analyzing.In this work, firstly Quranic Sciences? definition, coverage, emergence, historical development and taking place in literature of sciences were examined. Afterwards, the commentary of Qurtubi had been read meticulously from beginning to end in the light of this researches made. In the meantime, the sciences that commentator gave them place in his work were determined. After collecting the data obtained, topics were considered under the appropriate titles.This study consists of an introduction, three main sections, a result and a bibliography.Key Words: Qurtubi, Quran, Quranic Sciences, Interpretation, Sign.
