The content analyses of education writings of teachers union in the magazine of Kurtuluş Yolu

The purpose of this study is to make a survey on educational status, and the studies done to improve education and to build conscious community-building efforts in İskilip; based on the writings from the magazine called ?The Independence Road? which was published in Ottoman langugage in the early years of Turkish Republic between the years of 1926-1928 in the disrtict of İskilip, Çorum. This study is considered to contribute to a better understanding of that period.1. The main aim of this magazine ? The Independence Road ? was to ensure the development of society through education.2. It was obviously the same in the magazine that the atmosphere in the early years of the republic was like a pure reflection, the excitement of the intellectuals during the revolutions and the dedicated efforts of the people.3. The role of education was strongly stressed in this magazine. The educational reforms were tried to be reflected and implemented on İskilip and nearby after the Republic .4. In the early years of the republic the teachers were responsible for the education of the public and to stand as leading role in of the reforms in the society. The teachers who were working as publishers in this magazine also wrote articles on women education, agriculture, stock-breeding and health .
