From its establishment to the present Istanbul Bâyezid II Social Complex

There are various academic studies carried out on the Bâyezid II Social Complex up to today, but they are limited only to certain areas and far from revealing the relationship of the social complex with society and politics in a holistic way. This study, entitled as From Its Establishment to the Present Istanbul Bâyezid II Social Complex, is the first and most comprehensive study evaluating the social complex from a holistic perspective. The study consists of abstract, introduction, five main chapters, conclusion, references and appendix. The introduction part is about method and sources used in the study. In the first chapter, entitled as "Architectural Components of the Social Complex", after giving short information about the founder of the complex, the establishment purpose, location and architectural plan, the establishment date, architectural features of the service units that comprise the social complex, the repairs and changes they have undergone in the historical process; in the second chapter, entitled as "Economic Structure of the Kulliye", firstly the "Legal Nature of Income Sources", the place of the possessions of the social complex in the foundation law, income and expense items; in the third chapter, entitled as "Management and Control Mechanism of the Social Complex", the duties and responsibilities of the staff in the administration of the social complex; in the fourth chapter, entitled as "Social Structure and Service Areas of the Social Complex", the service areas and officials of each unit that comprise the complex; and in the fifth chapter, entitled as "Education and Science Life in the Social Complex", the education and training activities in the social complex were examined.
