The impact of the corporate DNA on job satisfaction: An analitical case study about the nurses perceptions in a large –scaled health orgazination

We can say that organizations are a living organism, and their typical characteristics differentiate them from other institutions. Using the metaphor of organization DNA is growing up at recent studies as defining this characteristic and modelling organizational structure. In case of diverging personnel's expectation with organizational characteristics, job satisfaction rate can increase. Consequently, the objective of this study is to analyze relationship between organization DNA of a business and job satisfaction. 262 Nurses who work for a big sized health enterprise in Izmir have been applied organization DNA and job satisfaction scales and their organization structure have been identified by using survey technic. Then, the relationship between organization DNA profile and nurses' job satisfaction have been examined. Being very high rate of labor turnover for nurses in private sector, and very high rate of nurse's deficit in public all over the country influenced the motivation of choosing nursing profession as a sample. The particular reason of choosing a private enterprise as a sample is the expectation from the enterprise's having more proactive and effective management structure to fight against changing environment in market. It is thought that acquired results can benefit to other enterprises, and lead to new studies in the field of health in the future. Particularly, being unexamined the relationship between organization DNA and job satisfaction before makes this study significant.
