X and Y generation differences and effects on organizational commitment in corporations

Abstract (EN)

X, Y generations and the working dynamics of generations in the organization become an improtant matter in recent times. Individuals of different generations who work together and need to work for common goals have different expectations. Also behavior and the way in which they do business differ from each other. In all these differences, it is important to discuss how the generations should be able to work together so that they can achieve successful results together as a corporation. All over the world as well as institutions in Turkey continues to work about intergenerational communication issues. Are the generations' expectations really different from eachother? Which generation wants to plan future with which expectations? How do the generations provide organizational commitment? In this study, which is prepared to get answers to these and similar questions, a total of 98 people were questioned using quantitative method and Likert scale. Expectations of each generation from each other and corporation were searched and interpreted.
