Integration of enterprise resource planning system with manufacturing execution system and monitoring overall equipment effectiveness data: An applicatinon in the manufacturing industry

In recent times, when technology has gained momentum, significant changes have also occurred in the production sector. The changes that have been experienced have forced the companies that serve the sector as producers to keep up with the transformation. Companies have adopted the principle of utilizing solituons of automation systems to ensure sustainability in current conditions. Automation solutions are associated with the concept of industrial automation. Industrial automation systems are preferred more frequently in the production sector than in the service sector. These systems are systems based on integrating human-powered work with computerized machines and information Technologies. Industrial automation solutions include solutions presented within a certain hierarchy. Within this framework, there are also manufacturing execution systems that provide instant access to all kinds of information about production through an online portal. Manufacturing execution systems are related to the management and traceability of production -related data. Manufacturing execution systems allow the management and traceability of production-related data. On the other hand, the data of all business processes of the company must be manageable and traceable. In this study, monitoring of total equipment effectiveness data through the integration of production execution systems and enterprise resource planning systems within the scope of transition to the industrial automation process and an example application made in the manufacturing industry are included. Within the scope of the study, the changes in the company's data in monthly periods were observed. While total equipment effectiveness data showed an increasing trend, a decrease in the scrap value on a product based was detected in quality data.
