Abstract (EN)

Today, many organizations have adopted a total quality approach in an effort to create the corporate identity and corporate strategy. This projects intends to ensure coordination among design elements of branding in corporate identity design and explain methods to create a positive and memorable impression of the corporation. These methods are demonstrated by the example of IKEA's design, which is based on simplicity and functionality. Using graphic design principles and elements in corporate identity creation, IKEA has produced exellent examples of successful preparation and implementation of visuals.First, this study explains one of major goals of the advertising industry, which is corporate identity. Second, it explores the process of brand image creation, and the effect of this porcess on the target market when supported by different types of corporate advertising. Through ongoing observations of IKEA processes and interviews with IKEA officials, this study associates the brand image IKEA has established since it's inception to the designs prepared by the agencies IKEA worked with for its advertising campaigns. Employing the historical description method, this qualitiative study evaluates the relationship between IKEA's image and the process of brand image creation in corporate identity design.Accounting for a large share in visual communication, corporate identity designs reach the community easily and effectively. Therefore, as educators and graphic designers, graduate students have increasing duties and responsibilities to society. This research aims to inform graphic design students and designers working in this field, educate the consumers and help promote organizations that provide products and services at the national and international level.
