The impact of corporate events on the financial performance: A series empirical study tests on different corporate events

The aim of this study is to analyse the impact of various corporate events on corporate financial performance. The study specifically looks at announcements of merger, acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPO), seasoned equity offerings (SEO), dividends, quarterly earnings and their impact on market-based financial performance. For this purpose, data was collected for the 2013-2019 period and an event study methodology was used to inquire the impact of these announcements. The market model was used to measure the abnormal and cumulative abnormal returns. The time period covered and the number of companies included in the dataset for each of the sections is outlined below.
