Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to examine the effect of corporate social responsibility on attracting employees and retention of employees. It is also to examine the mediating role of perceived external prestige in this relationship. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to 389 bank employees. The study of Perez and Bosque (2014) was used to measure corporate social responsibility activities; the study of Sharma and Misra (2015) was used to measure the employee retention variable; the study of Highhouse, Lievens and Sinar (2003) was used to measure attract employees and perceived external prestige variables. The analysis of the research data was carried out using the SPSS 23.0 package program. Frequency analysis were applied to determine the demographic characteristics of the participants. factor analysis were applied to test the validity of the variables. Correlation and regression analyzes were performed to test hypotheses. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was concluded that the relationships between corporate social responsibility and attracting employees, retention of employees and perceived external prestige were moderately positive and significant. It is concluded that the relationships between perceived external prestige and attracting employees and retention of employees are highly positive and significant. When the hypotheses were tested, it was determined that the increase of corporate social responsibility activities increases the attractiveness of the employee. The role of perceived external prestige was also partial mediation in this relationship. It has been determined that corporate social responsibility activities increase employee retention and perceived external prestige have a full mediating role in this relationship.
