Social media reflections and consequences of corporate social responsibility projects: Samsung-Sample of Hearing Hands Project

Organizations need to be active in a market to maintain their assets. Yet, when "market" is also thought of by other socio-cultural connections, it appears widely as "society". Therefore, organizations should share society's joys and sorrows, deal with its problems and troubles by acting in accordance with traditions of the society in which they take place in order to continue their existence more effectively. At this point, corporate Social responsibility Projects enable businesses to perform these tasks. Enterprises aim at showing their public relations studies to target market an people in communities in which they exist. They do this thansk to mass media. In this context, social media today has an important role. This important role ocur due to ease of use and intensity of social media use and possibility to communicate in two ways. Because of this features, the use of social media in promotion and announcement of corporate social responsibility projects will inevitably affect success of CSR projects. In this research, the video that belongs "The Hearing Hands" CSR project is examined to determine effect of CSR projects on the users' Social networks. As a result of the study, Social actions about the Project video have been scrutinised and it's been determined that the video interacted with Social media users. In consequence of this interact; project video has been come out through actions such as liking, comment and sharing. By this means, the Project has availed to brand in terms of familiarity, image and success.
