The effect of institutional structure on economic performance: Fragile five countries

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of institutional factors on economic growth of the fragile five countries. For this purpose, 2002-2015 data for nine countries including Turkey are tested econometrically using Panel Data Analysis. According to the results, there is a positive and significant relationship between institutional factors and economic growth. It was concluded that the improvements in the institutional structures of the fragile countries positively affect their economic performance.
