Implamention of ti̇mar system in Kütahya Sanjak (1466-1654)

In this research we conducted on the application of the timar system in the Sanjak of Kütahya, the years between 1466 and 1654, which are described as the period of change and transformation in the Ottoman Empire, were taken as basis. In determining this limitation, the dates when the tahrir and timar consent books were kept, which are the main sources of our study, have been taken into account. Our study focuses on the process of change and transformation in the timar system, which is shaped around the state sipahi and people. The study shows that the timar system is a taxpayer with labor, labor and production power in Kütahya Sanjak, the state based on a management mentality aimed at social balance and justice, and the sipahi, who is obliged to collect taxes from his savings fields based on military utility, is exposed to internal and external factors. It is based on its adaptation to the change and transformation process.
