Radio Frequency Identification Systems and Material Management and Security in Libraries: A Comparative Study on UHF and HF, Master Thesis, Çankırı,2022. The aim of this research is to provide concrete data about the performance status of RFID systems operating in the HF or UHF frequency range, which is preferred for material management in the library, as well as possible loss, leakage and incompatibility. In the study, sample event examination was carried out in two libraries using different RFID brand technologies. Tests were carried out with a certain section of sample materials taken from the library dermes. Twenty-four different tests were carried out on HF and UHF systems with this make-up unit. In the case study, a significant relationship was found between general performance/loss leakage status according to HF and UHF frequency range. In the study, where the performance and loss of all system components were tested as a whole, the loss leakage rate in the HF system was 27.1%; The rate of UHF system was found to be 40.1%. However, system performance or failures differed from subcomponents. There was a differentiation between the angle of label signal drag, angle of labels and readers, alarm peak levels of security gates according to frequency, performance of security gates according to signal disruptive factors, performance of HF and UHF systems in the locating, sorting and counting of mobile hand terminals. In both technologies, performance in some system components results in 100%, while in some system components, the loss leakage status can increase to 74%, 79%. In this study, which revealed the performance and loss-leakage status of RFID systems, it was concluded that there were technical problems in the performance of HF and UHF systems, as well as environmental factors in library operational processes.
