Abstract (EN)

The jewelery industry is the industry where precious metals and precious stones are processed into various items. Removing these materials from their raw form and processing them is called jewelry. Throughout history, human beings have been interested in assets such as gold, silver, diamonds, brilliant and foreign currency and have been in the desire to own them. These beings have attracted the attention of human beings due to their rarity, brilliance, beautiful appearance and easy processing, and have been processed and ornamented. They have become the main ornaments of women. Since their liquidity is high and they are in demand, they have kept their values and even increased them. In addition to their use as goods and especially as ornaments, they have become people's means of saving, they have been hidden, protected and created large reserves by people. Today, the most important reserve sources of central banks are such assets. Despite these beautiful features, usury has been made and widespread on these assets. Since interest is prohibited in Islamic law, Islamic scholars have put forward extra conditions in the purchase and sale of such assets compared to other commodities in the light of related verses and hadiths. However, there have been debates among Islamic scholars regarding the universality and variability of these conditions. In this study, jewelery transactions are evaluated in line with the texts related to the subject and the opinions based on these texts.
