The investigation of bryophyte flora and epiphytic vegetation of the north Amanus mountain (Hatay-Dortyol)

The Bryophyte flora and epiphytic vegetation of North Amanos mountain (Hatay-Dörtyol), has a of the most important forest in Turkey have been studied. At the result of identifications of 3077 specimen, collected from the area, 212 moss species belonging to 24 families and 85 genera, one hornworth species and 43 species of liverworts belonging to 22 families and 31 genera have been found. 2 taxa of mosses are new for bryophyte flora of Turkey. According to Henderson?s grid system 105 taxa of mosses and 35 taxa of liverworths are new records for square C13 among the others. The epiphytic vegetation of the study site was analysed according to the classical method Braun-Blanquet, 5 associations and 4 subassociations. 3 associations and 3 subassociations among the others were be found to be new for bryovegetation of Turkey, one subassociation (Anomodonto viticulosi-Leucodontetum sciuroidis-palamocladietosum euchloronis subass. nov) is new for science. Also, the tabulation system of Braun-Blanquet with Multivariate analysis method were applied to the data of the vegetation to determine plant association.
