ABSTRACT FIRAT UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES DIVISION OF TURKISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE Ph. D. THESIS POSTPOSITIONS IN NORTHERN GROUP TURKISH DIALECTS Ercan ALKAYA Elazığ 2002, Page: VII+665 Kıpçak Turkish, one of the three historical dialects of Turkish language, maintains its exsistence in following modern dialects: Tatar, Kazak, Kırgız, Başkurt, Karakalpak, Kumuk, Nogay, Karaçay-Balkar, Kırım Tatar and Karay. In this study named "Postpositions in Northern Group Turkish Dialects", postpositions in Turkish dialects mentioned above were studied. In this study the postpositions in the dialects mentioned were investigated from the point of structure etimology, usage and functions. Key Words: Turk, Turkish, Tatar, Kazak, Kırgız, Başkurt, Karakalpak, Kumuk, Nogay, Karaçay-Balkar, Kırım Tatar, Karay, postposition.
