Abstract (EN)

Starting from the conceptual framework and historical development of film acting, this thesis examines the theories of acting and especially Stanislavski's and Michael Chekhov's understanding of acting. In the first part, the concepts of acting art and cinema acting are discussed and their development in the historical process is included. In the second part, acting theories are elaborated and acting elements such as action, imagination and intrinsic motivation are explained. Michael Chekhov's approach to acting has been specially examined, and his techniques such as the body-psychology relationship and psychological gestures have been emphasized. In the third part, the history of cinema in Türkiye and Macedonia and the developments in the field of acting are discussed comparatively. In the last part, the films Corridor and Sisterhood, Locman and God Exists, Her Name is Petrunya are analyzed.
