For this purpose, we have produced State,Forest and Private ownerspip maps; investigated land renting procedure, investigatedthe agricultural activities on treasury lands at 12 test areas and analyzed economicalimpacts.Although the coastal agriculture is more advantageous than the land agriculturefor the local communities, it causes irreversible damages to the ecosystem.As a result of this research, we emphosize the necessity to coordinate thegovernment institutions that work independently in these areas and to produceresource usage plan that is compatible with the natural ecosystem and takes care ofthe benefits of local communities.Keywords : Akyatan Coast, Land ownership, Coastal area management.I
