Education-scientific value and the mythological basis of the motives and symbols that are used in girls' vocational high school for the lesson of leather accessories

SUMMARY In this research, revealing the narrative bases and education - scientific value of the motives and symbols that are used in Girls' Vocational High Schools for the Lesson of Leather Accessories. This study is a descriptive one basing on the scanning partem. In order to obtain the datas that will establish the research as a result of literature scanning, a questionnaire has been prepared with the purpose of applying to the Teachers of Leather Accessories Lesson in the Girls' Vocational High Schools in the Center of Ankara Province and it has been applied to the said teachers. Teachers of Leather Accessories Lesson in the Girls' Vocational High Schools in the Center of Ankara Province establish the endevaour frame of the study. The examples are from Etimesgut, Sincan, A. Yahşi, Kalaba, Polatlı, 100. Yıl, Yenimahalle, Yunus Emre, Zübeyde Hanım, Üreğil, Etlik, Cebeci, Yıldırım Beyazıt, Nevzat Ayaz Atatürk Anadolu Girls' Vocational High Schools and Ankara Girls' Technical Maturing Institute. During the analysis of the questionnaires, percentage frequencies of the information in the light of the responses that the teachers who filled the questionnaire are calculated and the findings are given as lists. Upon evaluating the values obtained from the research, it is seen that there are some courses that should be added to the Program of Girls' Vocational High Schools, The Lesson of Leather Accessories and there are some ones that should be removed from the said program. It has been observed that the workshops of Leather Accessories Lesson are few in number and are inadequate in terms of quality. It is seen that geometrical, plant, animal and human motives are used in Leather Accessories Lesson. 88 % of Teachers of Leather Accessories Lesson have stated that including the the narrative bases of the motives used in the lesson is useful imn terms of comprehensing and transferring our culture, developing our historical knowledge and historical consciousness. It is also seen that Teachers of Leather Accessories Lesson use mostly overhead projector, books - magazines but when explaining the narrative bases of motives, the may also use computers, mass media.When having a look at the results of the research with a view in line with narrative bases of motives and the symbols, it is seen that there are some lessons which should be added to the said program and there are ones which should be removed from it and the workshops are inadequate in terms of both quality and quantity. in
