Abstract (EN)
Study a descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the attitudes of female university students towards early diagnosis of cervical cancer and the factors affecting it. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 7736 female students studying at the central campus of Düzce University constituted the population of the research and 371 students formed the sample of the research. The data were collected by the researcher through the Personal Information Form and the Attitude Scale towards Early Diagnosis of Cervical Cancer, and face-to-face interview method. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, mean comparison tests and regression analysis were used to evaluate the data. The students' Attitude towards Early Diagnosis of Cervical Cancer scale total mean score was 105.02±10.70, and it was determined that their general attitudes towards early diagnosis of cervical cancer were high, perceptions of sensitivity and seriousness were moderate, and perceptions of benefit and obstacle were high. To university students; It is recommended to provide training on cervical cancer, risk factors, preventive measures to reduce risk factors, screening tests, and prophylactic vaccination.
