Abstract (EN)

In this study; the success and applicability of the drip irrigation method in rice (Oryza sativa L.) production in the Kızılırmak District of Çankırı Province were tested with the traditional pan irrigation method. In the summer of 2020, the research was carried out according to a randomized complete block design with split plot arrangements with 3 replications in The Research and Application Area of Çankırı Karatekin University Kızılırmak Vocational School. Different rice varieties (Osmancık 97, Yatkın, Köprü CL and Cammeo) were used to form main parcels and different irrigation methods (drip irrigation and pan irrigation) were used to form sub-plots. According to the data obtained at the end of the experiment, the impact of drip irrigation and pan irrigation method on the plant length, number of clusters per unit area, number of days to bloom, number of maturation days, cluster length, lodging, number of fertile grains, number of sterile grains, ratio of fertility, rice grain weight, rice grain width, cooked grain length, broken rice yield, rice yield, broken-unbroken rice yield were statistically significant. The impact of drip irrigation and pan irrigation method on the number of grains per cluster and rice grain length was not statistically significant. According to the research, 92,83% water saving was achieved in the drip irrigation method compared to the pan irrigation method and Cammeo was suggested as the most suitable variety.
