Abstract (EN)

Damages may occur in reinforced concrete structures due to irregularities and other effects.. In this thesis study, the structural behaviors of twenty-five shear wall systems and four without shear Wall systems under earthquake loads were determined and the importance of positioning and direction determination of the curtains was examined. In this study, the location of the building in Sakarya province, Adapazarı district, the ground ZC class and Earthquake ground motion level DD-2 were selected. The height of all floors is 3 meters and C25 concrete and B420C steel are used. Furthermore, in this study, both ends of the shear walls are designed to be connected to the surrounding columns. In this study, the buildings were designed as four, six, eight and ten storeys, one of which was chosen as the reference model without shear Wall, and in the other building models examined, the areas and numbers of the shear walls were kept constant and the positions of the curtains were changed to create shear walls-frame models with different layouts.. In general, a shear wall less reference building model and a 13-shear wall building model in different positions were examined for four-story buildings. In addition, a reference building model and a four- wall shear building model were evaluated and inspected for each of the six, eight and ten-story buildings. In this study ETABS (V2018) program and modal combination will be compared. In the studies conducted, analyzes will be made according to the Turkish Building Earthquake Code (TBDY-2018) and comparisons will be made by examining the earthquake parameters, floor displacements, periods, floor shear forces and torsion irregularities. As a result, it has been determined, that shear Wall are placed parallel to both the short and long sides and close the ends of the L, and the body, in the face of an earthquake is determined better perform up to 40% -50% in terms of floor displacements, A1 torsion irregularity, base shear forces and periods.
