Abstract (EN)
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a skin disease that shows itchy, lesions on the skin, inflammation of the skin and dryness. Probiotic cultures are a single or mixed community of microorganisms that develop the characteristics of natural microbial flora in the human and animal body when consumed in sufficient amount and frequency. As a result of their consumption, they protect the health of the host organism in the mouth, digestive system, upper respiratory tract and urogenital system and contribute to the healing of infectious diseases that occur in these areas. In this study, probiotic properties of microorganisms isolated from kefir were determined. Forty yeast and 20 lactic acid bacteria (LAB) that were isolated from kefir were included in the study. Kluyveromyces marxianus (A12), which has the strongest probiotic effect among the isolates whose probiotic properties were determined, was investigated on the anti-atopic dermatitis effect on the animals. Morphological, physiological and biochemical properties of isolated lactic acid bacteria and yeasts were determined. Pathogenicity, antimicrobial activities, survival rates in gastrointestinal conditions, antibiotic sensitivity, antioxidant activity, aggregation activity, antimicrobial activity, and biofilm properties of the isolates were determined. Kluyveromyces marxianus A12 was determined as the isolate with the strongest probiotic effect. Kluyveromyces marxianus A12 was administered to animals with 2-4 dinitrophenolbenzoid (DNFB) -induced atopic detmatitis (AD) for 4 weeks at 1010 cfu / ml per day. It was determined that administration of probiotic Kluyveromyces marxianus A12 had a positive effect on the recovery of AD. K. marxianus A12 is a promising probiotic that can support drugs used in AD treatment.
