Abstract (EN)
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES OF THE LAMINATED WINDOW PROFILE (M. Sc. Thesis) Mustafa KUCUKTUVEK GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY JANUARY 2002 ABSTRACT In this study, it is aimed to ascertain and determine the technological properties same of the laminated window profile which people have just started to use them in the woodworking industry of the country. For this purpose, in the production of window profile that is commonly used in our country, the window profiles which are prepared of the Pinus nigra var Pallasiana by urea - formaldehyde glue, in the form of the tree layers are subjected to some experiments the densty (TS 2472), shrinkage amount (TS 4083), compression strength (TS 2595), shear strength (ASTMD 3110), bending strength and modulus of elasticity (TS 2474 and 2478), were determined on totaly 150 samples. At the end of the experiments it has been proven that the technical properties of the laminated wood, Pinus nigra var Pallasiana window profile have more superior values than the technical properties of the wood window profile representing these materials.
