Abstract (EN)
Latife Tekin is one of the important writers of Turkish literature after 1980. The author, who is mostly known for his novels, has also produced works in the genre of essays and short stories. He also wrote the screenplay of a movie called Bir Yudum Sevgi. The author, who was inspired by his own life while writing his novels, also chose his heroes from ordinary people by making use of his observations. The author, who turned to nature in the second phase of his writing, dealt with the damage of people to the environment and the problems women experience in social life with an ecofeminist approach. Latife Tekin, whose novels are the source of thesis studies of many disciplines, is one of the important representatives of postmodern literature according to literary critics. It is also possible to say that he bears the traces of the magical realism movement due to the fairy-tale language he uses. The author, who frequently deals with the social environment he lives in in his novels, is not independent of the social issues of the period. The author, who successfully deals with the problems experienced by immigrants like himself, their efforts to get used to the city, and cultural conflicts, also touched on the environment and women's problems. Migration, in general, is the movement of people, individually or in groups, to leave the places where they live voluntarily or compulsorily and settle in another geography or city. Since Latife Tekin is the child of a family that immigrated to Istanbul, she directly or indirectly touched on the subject of migration in her novels. In this thesis, the novels of the author were examined under two headings. Sevgili Arsız Ölüm, Berci Kristin Çöp Masalları, Buzdan Kılıçlar, Aşkİşaretleri, Ormanda Ölüm Yokmuş, Unutma Bahçesi, Manves City, Sürüklenme are the novels in which the author deals with the theme of migration. In some of his novels, the author did not touch on the issue of migration, but explained the problems of women and the environment. Muinar, Rüyalar ve Uyanışlar Defteri ,Altınçayır Vadisinin Çocukları, Zamansız are examples of these works. In his work, Gece Dersleri, the author makes an assessment of the organizational life he was once in. Latife Tekin, one of the important writers of Turkish literature after 1980, successfully handled the theme of migration, which is a social subject, in her works. Touching on the impact of migration on the individual, family, society and environment, the author was inspired by both his own life and the lives of people in shantytowns in his novels.
