Özet (EN)

One of the most influential writers of Post-1980 Turkey, Latife Tekin, has introduced an original form and style to the Turkish Novel without breaking away from the tradional genre. She is the first author to introduce magic realism to the Turkish novel. The fact that magic realism in her novel s is drawn from the Anatolian folklore and traditions, her use of imagery, proverbs and idoms is proof that she has remained loyal to the tradition. Her first novel novel, Sevgili Arsız Ölüm (Dear Shameless Death) was published in 1983 and became instantaneously famous. Her use of various narrative techniques has enriched her style and made her a renowned writer in the Turkish reading public. Her novels have been translated into many languages. The socio-political changes in Turkey after the 1980s, the expectations of the individual from life at the end of the twentieth century are the main themes of her novels. She has eight novels, an essay , a scenario and a memoir-short story published to date thesis entitled " Noun Clauses in Latife Tekin's Novels" aims at making a comtribution to the studies in the field of Modern Turkish Literature.
