Scientists have recently begun a quest for natural antibiotics as well as chemotherapeutic medicines. Thereby, the plants which have ethnobotany speciality have drawn more attention. In this thesis research, the antimicrobial activity levels of Salvia tomentosa Mill and Lavandula stoechas plants which have ethnobotany speciality and are used for many diseases' cure among people in Çanakkale district against the microorganisms isolated from the patients who have been diagnosed with infection in The Research and Application Hospital of Duzce University have been determined. The extraction of the plants were executed with chloform, ethanol and ethyl acetate solutes via Soxhlet device. The antimicrobial activity levels of three different concentrations as 25 µL, 50 µL and 75 µL solutions against test microorganisms were determined via Disc Diffusion Method. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the antimicrobial effect of both plants' extract which was acquired with ethanol are higher in proportion to other solutes and antibiotics compared.
