Abstract (EN)
Laser welding is a newly-developed joining technology which is expected to be use in the automotive industry for joining body parts made of high strength steel sheets. To apply the solid-state welding successfully its important to understand weld microstructure and mechanical properties. In this study the aim was to determine the parameters effect in laser welding of DP 600- DP 1000 steel sheets by using different parameters. For this purpose it was correlated with mechanical properties and micro structural characteristics. The joined samples were investigated by the methods of tensile test, micro hardness, micro and macro observations. The melting zone (MZ), the heat-affected zone (HAZ), and the base material (BM) regions of the laser welding process were observed.
