The post-romantic concept on I.X.1905 piano sonata and examination on 3 moravian dances of Leos Janacek's nationalist identity

In this thesis, Leos Janacek's work is focused on two different structures. In the first part of the study, general information about Czech Music and its important composers is presented, and the identity, style and works of Leos Janacek are emphasized. In other chapters, three of the folk dances that reveal the nationalist identity of the I.X.1905 Piano Sonata and the composer, written with the influence of the political pressure of the period and the protests, were studied in detail in terms of form, harmonic, melodic and rhythmic, technical and musical aspects, and their achievements were evaluated. Since the Turkish literature on the subject is insufficient, foreign theses, books, articles, journals and internet-based sources have been used to a large extent in the creation of the thesis. Literature scanning, archive records (CD, DVD) and content analysis methods are used in the thesis. In order to get more detailed information about Janacek and his country, I have visited the composer's house, Janacek Academy and the Tomb Monument. The majority of the photographs in the thesis were used from my own archive created during this trip.
