Abstract (EN)

Total sperm detected, motility duration, concentration, total motile sperm, percentage of motile sperm, IM (Immotility), VAP (Average Path Velocity), VCL (Curvilinear velocity), VSL (Straightline velocity), ALH (Amplitude of lateral head), percent of moving line, STR (Straightness) ratios in the semen of male individuals belonging to different size groups of Guppy (Poecilia reticulata, Peters, 1859), Sword Tail (Xiphophorus helleri, Heckel, 1848), Goldfish (Carassius auratus, Linnaeus, 1758) and Koi (Cyprinus carpio carpio, Linnaeus, 1758) species were determined. In the study, the total amount of sperm, concentration and motile sperm detected in lebistes and swordtail were found to be higher in largeer size groups, whereas in Koi, also sperm amount additional to these parameters were higher in the medium size group than the other groups. In the goldfish, motility duration was found to be high but immotile sperm (IM) was lower in small size group.
