Abstract (EN)
Objective: The purpose of this study, to determine and examine the leisure time exercise levels, leisure time motivation, and constraints of LGBTI individuals living in Turkey, according to some demographic variables. Method: The study is a descriptive study and the survey method was use for data collection. The research was designed with a screening model. The sample of the study consists of 75 people who identified themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersexual chosen by the snowball sampling method. In order to collect data, Leisure Time Exercise Questionnarie (LTEQ), Leisure Time Constraints Questionnarie (LTCQ) and Leisure Time Motivations Questionnarie (LTMQ) were used. Results: Participants, mostly in the 18-25 age range, with a high level of education, socio-economic status and participation in leisure time activities are at the medium level. The sexual orientation of the majority of the participants is known and the group involved mostly consists of lesbian and gay men. In addition, several significant differences have been found between demographic characteristics and leisure time motivations and barriers. Conclusion: In sub-motivativation factors that "To know", "Introjection" and "To achive" were determined that the highest motivational scores of the participants. on the other hand, amotivation factors was the lowest one. According to the results of the leisure time constraints levels of participants, the sub-dimensions that "facility" and "psychology" are the highest average scores in the leisure time constraints, while the lowest average score is the lack of interest. In addition, there are some significant differences between participants' leisure time motivation, leisure time constraints, and demographic variables. According to this, leisure time motivation effects from participant's age and leisure time activities, while leisure time constraints only effect from leisure time exercise level.
