Abstract (EN)

VLC is the abbreviation of visible light communication and covers all of technologies that use visible light for a high-speed transmission medium duty. The Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) technology is a wireless visible light communication technology that challenges the Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi). Li-Fi is considered a solution to Wi-Fi restrictions due to the limited bandwidth of the Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum and the inability to meet the demand for high data rates. In this thesis, three different Li-Fi transceiver circuits that can transmit text data using ready-to-use electronic components and two Arduino cards were designed. Each of the Arduino cards was used in a (Rx / Tx) transceiver function. The transmitting part transmits data by flashing a white light emitting diode (LED) too fast to be noticed by the human eye, while the receiving part captures data via a photodiode. This means that LEDs can serve both lighting and communication purposes. Data is transmitted from one computer to another computer using UART serial communication. It was observed that communication rates changed according to the circuit topology used in this study.
