Abstract (EN)

The aim of this work is to make a research on the relation between the leadership and organizational commitment in hotel managements in tourism sector. Work include 3 part.In the first part; focusing the leadership theories and leadership approaches leadership notions are identified.In the second part; the idea of organizational commitment is identified and the importance of it highlighted. Then organizational commitment types and the factors that affect organizational commitment and organizational commitment results are displayed.In the third part; it was examined the relationship between leader effectiveness and organizational commitment by using the theoretical knowledge. The research was carried out upon employees working in the kitchen departments of the five-star hotels operating in Belek in Antalya which is one of the most important tourism centers of Turkey. A three-part questionaire was organized to measure the relationship. As a result of the survey, data obtained were analyzed with SPSS.According the findings of the research, it is concluded that the effect of leader effectiveness on the organizational commitment is perceived at a high level and this commitment is a highly emotional commitment, and there is a moderate relationship between continuance commitment and normative commitment also, there is a significant relationship between leader effectiveness, continuance commitment and normative commitment in a positive way.Keywords: Leader, Leader Effectiveness, Organizational Commitment
