Abstract (EN)
People are social beings and they live in communities to survive. The desire of human beings to live together has brought about the issue of choosing leaders and becoming leaders. People with leadership qualities are more intelligent, hard-working, strong and impressive than other people. When the concept of leader-member interaction is evaluated based on the concept of leadership, the characteristics of both the leader and the follower come to the fore. A person with leadership qualities first tries to get to know his followers by developing different communication skills. People show certain behaviors in the work environment. These behaviors can be positive or negative. The concept of social loafing is also among the behaviors described as negative. Some employees work less and take more breaks than other employees due to the workload, in short, they skip work. At the same time, the concept of workload also has an important place in organizations. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of workload on the relationship between leader-member interaction and social loafing. For this purpose, data was collected from approximately 255 people through a survey and the collected data was analyzed with Structural Analysis Modeling. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that leader-member interaction had no effect on social loafing, individual workload had a significant effect on social loafing, and there was no managerial effect on the relationship between individual workload, leader-member interaction and social loafing.
