Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of managers' leadership characteristics on the motivation of employees. The population of the study is composed of employees who have 5 years or more experience in Istanbul and private sector. In the study, questionnaires were sent online from different provinces, public and private sector employees and the sample was minimized by means of filter questions. A total of 517 surveys were conducted and 204 questionnaires were validated within the scope of filter questions. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The questionnaire forms consist of filter questions, demographic characteristics, Executive Behavior Scale and Business Motivation Scale. Data analysis was done by SPSS 16 package program. In the analysis of data, descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, environment, indifference tests and relationship analyzes were used. As a result of the research, it is found that democratic participatory behaviors affect positively and directly the perception of organizational and individual work motivation; It has been determined that the executive behavior that recognizes autocratic managers and full freedoms affects the perception of organizational and individual business motivation negatively and directly.
